Elon Musk’s Tesla has temporarily opened its charging network across Israel, allowing drivers to power up for free as the country faces ongoing security tensions following Operation “Roaring Lion.” The move took effect overnight and applies to all Tesla Supercharger stations nationwide, from the northern region down to Eilat, giving drivers immediate access without the usual per-kilowatt fees. Under normal conditions, charging costs can vary depending on demand, but for now, the company has removed those charges entirely.
The decision follows recent missile fire and heightened uncertainty across the region, and mirrors similar steps Tesla has taken during past crises, including in Israel after the October 2023 attacks and in other conflict or disaster zones globally. The policy also extends beyond Israel, with free charging activated at dozens of stations across nearby countries in the Gulf. While Tesla has not specified how long the measure will remain in place, the move is being viewed as a rapid response aimed at supporting mobility and daily life during a volatile moment.
